Meet Dr. V
Dr. Valecia A. Baldwin (AKA “nurse for the nation”) has spent over 25 years in nursing, traveling more than 40,000 miles as a travel nurse consultant to help long-term care facilities improve their clinical standards. She's the founder of Nurses Take the Lead, a national membership network that empowers nurses and nursing leaders to reach their full potential, drive positive change in healthcare, and create a culture of excellence and support.
She received the 2024 Health 2.0 Conference Leadership Award and is a Board Member at the Benadir University, which opened the first medical school in Somalia. She was also the closing keynote for the 2024 National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration 2024 conference.
Throughout her career, Dr. Valecia has naturally become a mentor to hundreds of nurses. Her mission is to inspire and support nurses and clinical organizations in creating a brighter, more empowered future.
